What is CT Sounds’ Warranty Policy?

All purchases from www.ctsounds.com come with a 1-Year Limited Warranty except for subwoofers, which come with a 90-Day Limited Warranty. We do sell a 1 year, 2 years, and 3 years extended warranty for our subwoofers. This extended warranty is offered through Clyde. Before returning your item we recommend that you reach out to hello@ctsounds.com so we can help troubleshoot the issue. 70% of the time we are able to assist the customer and fix the issue without the customer sending back the item for testing. Our team of experts will ask a series of questions to help troubleshoot the problem. 

We understand the questions can be annoying and we can skip this step if the customer does not want to go through this process. If we find the item to be in working condition upon receiving it, we charge a $30 processing fee plus the cost to ship the item back to you (this is why we ask the questions to help save you time and money). If we discover a manufacturing defect with the item, we will send you a replacement unit free of charge. 

How long does it take to process my warranty claim?

Upon receiving your warranty return, CT Sounds requests 5 to 7 business days to inspect the item and determine if it falls under warranty. After testing the item, we will reach back out to you letting you know if the item will be warranted.

Will I receive a brand new replacement if my item is covered under warranty?

CT Sounds reserves the right to send you a certified refurbished product for any unit that is beyond the 30-day return/exchange period. If the item is within the 30-day return/exchange window, you will receive a brand new replacement.

Does my item fall under warranty?

CT Sounds’ Warranty Policy covers defects in materials only. Our warranty policy does not cover the following:

  • User error
  • Accidental damage
  • Improper installation
  • Product abuse
  • Modified or repaired products
  • Using the product outside of recommended specifications
  • Unwound voice coil due to clipping
  • Amplifiers without a warranty seal
  • Less than adequate electrical to support high-powered amplifiers

*Note: The 1-Year Limited Warranty for amplifiers was made effective on 3/21/2022. Any amplifiers purchased before this date came with a 90-Day Limited Warranty. The 1-Year Limited Warranty for speakers was made effective on 6/15/2022. Any speakers purchased before this date came with a 90-Day Limited Warranty.
